3) Joining [FT] Clan/League Squad
To join our clan-match squad you need to be:
Please make a new thread in the Join FT Board listing your reasons for wanting to join, your best classes, your clan match experience (if any) and your total hours played in your preferred positions.
If you do become a member of this clan you will be expected to participate in some training sessions with us. The newest players should play whenever they can to gain experience with us, but there is no strict minimum to the amount of sessions you must attend.
Note, however, that if you are selected as a member of the league squad you will be expected to be present at the majority of our training sessions.
During any training session you must obey the admins or whoever is in charge of the session. Listen and don't argue or otherwise derail the practice. This goes for everyone.
4) Policy on FT/FTr membership and Clan Matches
Members who are new to FT can join the "FT recruits". Their clan tag is [FTr] and you may not use the [FT] tag unless your team captain tells you to in a clan match, in which case you can wear the tag for the duration of the game. You can use [FTr] in public play.
Anyone in [FT] or [FTr] can play in clan matches, as long as we know you're good enough. The best way for this to happen is for you to play with us in our public server (see above). Once you have made yourself known you may be invited to play in a friendly clan match with us.
We occasionally run matches specifically intended to give new members a game to show us what they can do. When one of these is annouced please sign up for it here on the forums.
To get your [FT] tag and full membership you must:
- Register on and regularly check this foum
- Sign up (on the forum) and attend for at least three clan events such as training, matches and internal games. You will not be able to play in every match, but there should be plenty of matches available aimed at newer players, and these will be clearly labeled as such.
Once you have shown that you can use the forums, register, turn up and play then you will be inducted into FT.
All of our events and clan information are posted to this forum so anyone can follow them, although all full FT members should join our Steam group.
5) RED team and BLU team
While FT is a single community, we have grown so large recently that many members are not often able to play in matches with us. For this reason we sometimes field two teams in leagues - RED and BLU. New players join BLU by default, where they can practice and compete under the watchful eye of their experienced captains.
More information about the teams can be found here.
6) Staff
The head of the clan and the main server administrator is Tikcus. Queries about the running of our 24 man public TF2 server can be directed to him.
The main administrator of this forum is myself, Immortal, and any questions relating to it can be directed to me after any relevant moderators and/or global moderators. Any issues about deleted posts or moderations should first be directed to the moderator in question.
Moderators are responsible for managing a handful of boards, enforcing the rules and keeping the place tidy. Currently we have two global moderators, Peacekeeper and aluzink.
The captains of BLU team are Outsyda and Teddy Slayer. New members will most likey join their team and so will answer directly to them in matters relating to clan matches and practice. Both are experienced members of FT and their word is law during BLU team events.
While this forum is based on the proboards template, much of the additional code for this site was written by Mike, who holds the rank of Coder.
- Treat other users with respect, don't be an ass in general.
- Keep swearing to a bare minimum. You may not be punished for using offensive language, but using it to excess or directly at another user will count against you.
- Images should not be so wide as to stretch the page. Approximately 600px across is the upper limit, anything larger may be deleted. If in doubt, use a hyperlink instead of IMG tags. Note that you may post larger images such as screenshots if the topic title clearly warns of large images (e.g. "big screenshots thread" or "warning: large images".
